Gingerbread House

A few weeks back we constructed a gingerbread house and here's the photos!

Oliver carefully opening and sorting the candies.

This kid is amazing with scissors, I put him to work clipping our coupons on the weekends.

A good variety of candy!

Now the gingerbread house.

Everything ready, just waiting for daddy to get home from work so we can all make it.

Building the house with frosting.

Sampling the candy.

More sampling of the candy.

Little Leo wanting to help.

Leo kneading the green frosting so it's ready for us to use.

There are boring parts of making a gingerbread house and patience is needed as daddy lines the doors and windows.

More kneading.

Leo showing off his two bottom teeth.

The gingerbread is finished and our living room smells like gingerbread now!

After waiting 2 weeks to finally get the chance to eat the gingerbread house mommy gives them the go-ahead.  Disappointment is evident, it's an old cookie!

How do you occupy a baby for 10 minutes?  If you're Jacob you prop him in the corner of the couch and pile on every baby toy you can find.

How do you occupy a 4 year old for 10 minutes?  Puzzles.

Stormy Weekend

This past weekend we were invited to spend a few days with Jen & Devin at the Boora Beach House.  Jen works at Boora Architecture and one of the perks is that they have access to this amazing beach house.  Jen & Devin also don't have kids so why they wanted to have a 4 year old running around and a squishy baby ruining their vacation is beyond me.  But we were THRILLED to be there!

These next photos are ones that Jen took.

Ollie and Jacob braved the rainy and windy weather to search for shells.  I'm sure that's the only way Jacob bribed him into going outside.  The possiblity of finding a crab shell or oyster will always win over Oliver.  The rock in the background is Proposal Rock.

First Food

Here's some photos from Leo's first taste of real food, brown rice cereal.  These photos were taken by Oliver because I was out of town on my Mommy's Weekend at the coast.
