Conversation with Ollie

"Would you like to draw the face on the pumpkin?"

"YES!"

"ok, here's the pen.  You can draw triangles for the eyes"

"what if I drew numbers"

"ok...?"

"number 7 and number 8 are his eyes.  number 1 is his nose!  And numbers are for his mouth"

"give me back that pen.  your artistic input has been revoked."

This is the number pumpkin. That's a 7 & 8 for eyes and a 1 for a nose.

Sleep crusher

Last week we moved Leo from our bedroom into his own crib.  He's now sharing Oliver's room and although the room is smaller from adding a crib Oliver loves having the baby in his room.

Don't be fooled by Leo's little happy face, at night he turns into a raging screaming sleep crusher who insists on waking at least 4 times a night.  I'm not sure why this is happening, babies are finicky that way.  If he'd just stop napping all day and learn how to talk we could get to the bottom of this.

Wiggle Bones

I call Leo "wiggle bones" and these photos show why.  They were literally taken within 20 seconds and it shows you how much this little baby moves.  I remember when he was in my belly that he was always jumping around.

Aphid Killer

Here's a video of Ollie explaining what you can do with a big bag of ladybugs.  There's approximately 1500 in the bag.

Laughing video

Ok, so it's not so much yodeling as it's screeching at the top of his lungs. There's usually a lot of screeching going on during the day. It's like he's in some sort of zone and when I try to get him to smile or talk to him he can not be detoured from his 15 minutes of screeching. He's very serous about it too, like he's trying to perfect it or something.

Here's a video of him getting those tickley kisses on the neck that make you laugh.

Splashy

I hate to share this but the kids really don't get a bath as much as they should.  Why you may ask?  Mostly because Jake and I are exhausted.  It's been easier to give Oliver a bath as he's older.  We just fill the tub with water and add child.  A baby though requires holding so that he doesn't tip over as he still can't sit up by himself.  Holding up a soapy naked Leo is like wrestling a slippery pumpkin.  But a super cute pumpkin!

Mini Batman

This month is filled with weekend halloween parties and we just recently got back from Torrence's Halloween/Birthday party.  Here's Ollie in his last minute put together costume made from pajama bottoms, a borrowed shirt from Annie, black winter gloves and a bat cape from the grandparents.

This picture is Ollie shaking his fist at evil doer everywhere.

Here's Torrence's mommy leading a treasure hunt through the neighborhood.

Safety first, hold your buddy's hand.  This is fairy princess Marlee.

Cupcakes and candy.
