I think one of the things about having kids that Jacob has been looking forward to was that he would be able to share his joy of the outdoors with them. This weekend he has a overnight camping trip planned for just him and the boys at the base of Mt. Saint Helens. Oliver has been extremely excited about this camping trip as most of our camping adventures have usually led him to find tiny creatures. Remember the newt? starfish? jellyfish? He's pretty confident he will find something on this trip, be sure to ask him about it.

I'm not sure how he doesn't tip over with this backpack strapped on his back.

The night before he was so excited...I thought he was going to drive us crazy. He only sat still for 10 seconds and we caught it on the camera.

Choo-Choo

Our little friend Zane was visiting last week and he has developed the same "Train bug" that Oliver did at his age. To see Zane so excited about trains took me back in time when every train whistle, train track and train was accompanied with a little pointed finger in the air and the phrase "Mama! Tra! Tra!". After what seemed like a very long time of train covered clothes, train books and every Thomas train item marketed to children he finally moved on to dinosaurs. Thank god!

This is Zane saying "Choo-Choo". He must have said it every 20 seconds. The boy is definitely hooked.
